yhaLocated approximately 1 mile from the village of Glenridding, YHA Helvellyn is in a remote and peaceful spot, almost 1000 feet above sea level. The hostel is cosy and comfortable with small bedrooms which can be booked for family or private use. With an excellent reputation for its hospitality and meals it makes a fantastic mountain base. Enjoy walking and climbing on Helvellyn or the surrounding peaks or, if feeling less energetic, try the scenic lakeshore paths around Ullswater. The hostel is reached by a rough track suitable for vehicles - there is car parking at the hostel.
